Every year, the Fund ICT Community for ASD supports several promising projects that improve the quality of life for people with autism. However, out of numerous applications, only a few are chosen. So, how can you ensure your project stands out?

These 3 tips will give your application a boost.

What Exactly Is the Fund Looking For?

The Fund ICT Community for ASD supports projects in Belgium that promote inclusion, participation, and empowerment of people with autism. This call focuses on individuals in vulnerable situations, such as:

  • Poverty or limited access to education, employment, or healthcare;

  • Social isolation or a weak support network;

  • Intersections of neurodiversity with gender, sexuality, or ethnicity.

3 Tips for a Strong Application

Want your project to stand out? Then pay attention to these key elements:

  1. Be clear

    A strong project plan is well-defined, organised, and comprehensive. Ensure you promptly answer the key questions: who, what, where, when, why, and how. Keep it concise, easy to read, and visually accessible.

  2. Use NAUWU as a guide

    The NAUWU principle (Nothing About Us Without Us) is an important criterion for evaluation. Clearly show how people with autism are involved in your project. This demonstrates support and relevance.

  3. Show the link with the annual theme

    The central theme for 2025 is ‘Autistic People in Vulnerable Situations’. Clearly explain how your project addresses this vulnerability and, more importantly, what opportunities you create. For example, focus on individuals facing additional challenges, limited access to support, or a lack of social network.

The Fund ICT Community for ASD supports projects that genuinely make a difference in the lives of people with autism. Following these tips will greatly improve your chances of being chosen.
