Every year, the King Baudouin Foundation launches an appeal within the framework of the ‘ICT community for ASD’ fund set up by Passwerk. In principle, the jury will give priority to supporting innovative initiatives within the framework of the annual theme that has been defined. However, interesting projects with added value for people with autism that fall outside this year’s theme can also be submitted and be eligible for support.
The annual theme for 2020 is ‘Entrepreneurship by and for people with autism’. Start-ups/scale-ups with people with autism who start their own business are eligible too. This also applies to starting entrepreneurs (e.g. BVBAs) that focus on people with autism. So it concerns both starting entrepreneurs with autism themselves, as well as companies that do business with or for people with autism. Or, in broader terms: “Employment of and by people with autism”.
